We are honored to host Mary Kay as as our keynote speaker.
Mary Kay has 42 years experience with an emphasis in neuroscience/ICU. She has held a variety of roles including: ICU staff nurse, educator, faculty, and clinical nurse specialist. Currently, Mary Kay is a neurocritical care CNS working collaboratively with a team to develop protocols and manage care for neuro/ICU patient populations.
Mary Kay has lectured nationally and internationally on traumatic brain injury (TBI), hypothermia and targeted temperature management (TTM), intracranial pressure (ICP), spinal cord injury, aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH), novel anticoagulants in the presence of intracranial hemorrhage and stroke.
She has published over 40 articles and 4 books, and she was on the jury for the Neurocritical Care Society (NCS) multimodality monitoring consensus document in 2013-2014. Mary Kay was honored as a Fellow for NCS in October 2013. And currently sits on the Board of Directors and is a past President. She is also a past President of the American Association of Neuroscience Nurses (AANN) and is also a Fellow of the American Heart Association (FAHA) in recognition of her scientific and professional achievements.
